Hi, this is Oakdale, MN Chiropractor, Dr. Ben Smetana.  I found this great health tip today in the Doctor’s Resource Center of our website.  The tip is a brief checklist of things you can do to lower your blood pressure naturally.
High blood pressure—or hypertension—is a risk factor for heart disease and stroke.  A blood pressure reading of more than 140/90 is considered high, while pre-hypertension ranges from 120/80 through 139/89. Systolic blood pressure—the number on top—is considered the most accurate for diagnosing hypertension.

Hi, This is Oakdale, MN Chiropractor Dr. Ben Smetana.  I’d like to share this great article that I recently found in the Doctor’s Resource Center of our website.  The article covers some easy tips to help men protect their hearts under times of stress.
Stress is well known to play a role in heart disease. Blood vessels are specially designed to respond to the ever-changing blood flow needs in different parts of the body. Healthy blood vessels are elastic, flexible, and strong, but many people unknowingly have low-level chronic inflammation in their blood vessel walls, causing the walls to become thicker and less flexible, and increasing heart attack risk.
