An analysis of evidence gathered from several recent studies shows that low vitamin D levels are associated with depression, according to a report in The British Journal of Psychiatry.

Hi this is Oakdale MN chiropractor Dr. Ben Smetana and I found this great article on the link between carbohydrates and heart disease.  For years we have been promoting eating more fat and less grain to reduce the risk of chronic disease. Read on to learn more.

For years, health experts have advised people to cut as much saturated fat out of their diet as possible to reduce heart disease risk. This study suggests that if simple carbohydrates replace saturated fat calories, this may increase heart-disease risk, not lessen it. Simply put: simple carbohydrates increase heart disease risk more than saturated fat.
